Australian clean energy company Pure Hydrogen has signed an agreement for the sale of a hydrogen fuel cell (HFC) waste collection truck to Solo Resource Recovery, an Australian waste management company, it said on April 22.

The rear-loading HFC waste collection truck will be deployed in Adelaide, South Australia for the City of West Torrens Council. The Council is a client of Solo Resource Recovery, which provides waste and resource recovery services to councils, businesses and industries in New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia.

Pure Hydrogen's HFC waste collection truck is equipped with a technology that enables it to operate with zero CO2 emissions from the tailpipe, significantly improving air quality and contributing to a healthier environment for communities in which it operates. With an expected range of approximately 300 km before refuelling, the truck offers enhanced operational efficiency and performance compared to traditional diesel-powered vehicles.

Pure Hydrogen plans to supply hydrogen fuel to Australian customers and regional Asia Pacific markets through green, emerald, and turquoise hydrogen production. Concurrently, the company is developing natural gas projects directly in Australia and Botswana and through a strategic investment it holds in a Botswana- focused energy company.
