Greece’s Capital Ship Management Corp. has taken delivery of Alterego, the second of two ammonia and LNG fuel ready ships delivered in 2022, the company said on October 26.

The 300,000 dwt, eco-type crude oil, scrubber-fitted VLCC tanker was built by the Korean shipyard Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries. The first ship, Amore Mio, was delivered in August.

The two vessels are tier III compliant for reduced NOx emissions, assigned ABS ENVIRO notation as well as ABS ammonia fuel ready and LNG fuel ready notations and equipped with IHM notation for safe recycling.
