Carnival Corporation, a global cruise company, has formalised an agreement with German shipbuilder Meyer Werft for the construction of its fourth LNG-powered cruise ship under the Carnival Cruise Line brand, it said on February 13.

The upcoming vessel, the 10th Excel-class ship within Carnival Corporation's fleet spanning four brands, is set to join the ranks of Carnival Cruise Line's existing Excel-class ships: Mardi Gras, Carnival Celebration, and Carnival Jubilee.

Anticipated to enter service in Spring 2027, this new 180,000-tonne ship is a testament to Carnival's commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility, the company stated.
