China’s Mingyang Smart Energy has manufactured alkaline electrolysis system for hydrogen production, it said on October 20 in a Linkedin post.
"The world’s single largest alkaline electrolysis system for hydrogen production, designed and manufactured by Mingyang Smart Energy, has rolled off the production line in Yangjiang, Guangdong," it said.
The new system can produce hydrogen at the capacity of 1500-2500Nm3/h. Its wide frequency adaptability enables integration with volatile renewable power sources, it said.
The electrolyzer is 50% shorter than similar products of the same capacity, thus lowering hydrogen production loss. Large-scale applications can reduce the system investment cost per unit capacity by another 30%, bringing green hydrogen closer to price parity, the company said.
