CSSC Jiangnan Shipbuilding, a major Chinese shipbuilding company, has launched an LNG dual-fuel vehicle carrier being built for SAIC Anji Logistics, a unit of China’s SAIC Motor, SAIC Motors announced on August 29.

The 7,600 CEU vessel will be used mainly on European routes and the upcoming Australia and New Zealand routes. The new ships will be equipped with the latest technology to ensure safe and efficient transportation. They will also be equipped with environmentally friendly features to reduce emissions, the company said.

Meanwhile, SAIC Anji Logistics, is planning to expand its ocean-going fleet with 12 new ships from 2024 to 2026. The expansion of the fleet is a response to the continued growth of SAIC's overseas business.
