Gas distributor GasNet on August 15 announced the commencement of operations at its fifth LNG truck filling station in the Czech Republic. Located near Prague, adjacent to highway D1, the station sits at highway exit 12 within the Prologis Park Prague D1 East logistics complex in Ricany-Jazlovice.

The new Jazlovice station joins the ranks of GasNet's LNG refuelling facilities, including Klecany near Prague (D8), Mlada Boleslav (D10), Nyrany (D5), and Kaplica (future D3).

The Jazlovice station’s throughput capacity accommodates up to six tractor units per hour. It is equipped with training options for drivers unfamiliar with LNG refuelling procedures.

The company stated that as environmental concerns drive the push for sustainable practices, LNG has emerged as “a compelling solution”.

GasNet's head of business development, Filip Dostál, said, "LNG will bring financial benefits to transport and logistics companies in the long term. Liquefied biomethane, or bioLNG, offers even more significant savings."

BioLNG, with its 95% lower emission footprint than diesel, “aligns seamlessly with evolving sustainability goals, enabling logistics companies to offer environmentally conscious services while fulfilling corporate responsibilities in the realm of ESG and sustainability.”

There are currently 144 registered LNG trucks operating in the Czech Republic and seven public filling stations are at their disposal. Five of them are operated by the GasNet group.
