Russia's Gazprom has drafted a roadmap for using natural gas to develop hydrogen and decarbonise industry and transport, the company announced on November 23.

The company, Russia's largest gas supplier, said it had submitted the draft roadmap to the Russian energy ministry for approval. It sees hydrogen development in Russia as essential for decarbonising domestic industry and supporting the country's exports.

Gazprom has created a special-purpose to undertake hydrogen activities and plans to develop hydrogen pilot projects in Russia, it said.
