Japan's Iwatani to mix hydrogen with household LPG supply

By Shardul SharmaJapan's Iwatani Corp and city gas company Soma Gas plan to start mixing hydrogen with LPG that is supplied to homes, the former said on December 14.
During the trials, due to start in February 2023, hydrogen will be blended with LPG so that it accounts for 20% of the total mixture. Soma Gas will then supply the mixture to households via existing conduits.
The project involves 500 customers in Minamisoma City, Fukushima Prefecture, in northeast Japan.
