Peninsula, a prominent supplier of marine energy, has officially commenced LNG bunkering services at the Port of Algeciras in Spain, it said on January 3.

The supply operation was carried out by Peninsula’s latest addition to its fleet, the 12,500 m3 LNG supply vessel, Levante LNG. It provided services to the Royal Caribbean Group's cruise ship, Icon of the Seas.

"Having already undertaken numerous LNG bunkering operations in other ports across the world, the addition of the Port of Algeciras will help Peninsula to provide lower carbon solutions to the growing number of LNG powered vessels joining the global fleet," the company said.

Peninsula recently started LNG bunkering operations in the Mediterranean.
