Malaysian clean energy solutions provider Gentari, through its subsidiary Gentari Hydrogen, has entered into a heads of agreement (HOA) with SEDC Energy to establish a hydrogen production hub in Sarawak’s Bintulu, it said on February 26.

The Sarawak H2 Hub is slated to function as the exclusive supplier of green hydrogen for downstream facilities within the Bintulu division area. The joint venture company, formed by Gentari and SEDC Energy, will manage and optimise all hydrogen production projects in the region.

The joint initiative follows a strategic collaboration agreement between Gentari and SEDC Energy, where both entities committed to exploring potential collaborations in the development and provision of integrated clean energy solutions. This collaboration also extends to contributing to policy and regulatory development within the state.
