Vision RNG said August 9 its landfill gas (LFG) to renewable natural gas (RNG) facility at Meridian Waste’s Eagle Ridge landfill in Bowling Green, Missouri is now fully operational.

The project uses 1,500 ft3/minute of landfill gas to produce 375,000 mnBtu/year of RNG which is injected into a nearby interstate natural gas pipeline and used by various customers across the US. The RNG is enough to heat about 8,800 homes for a year, Vision RNG said.

“This is the first of several LFG to RNG projects Vision RNG will be bringing online, including projects in Kentucky, Alabama, South Carolina and Oklahoma,” CEO Bill Johnson said.
