Spanish gas company Molgas has initiated marine operations in Italy with the first-ever LNG bunkering in Sicily, it announced via LinkedIn on April 18.

The operation, conducted in collaboration with Caronte & Tourist, took place on April 11 at the Port of Trapani. Caronte & Tourist’s vessel Nerea received LNG via truck-to-ship transfer, facilitated by Molgas.

Molgas reaffirmed its dedication to driving environmental sustainability in the maritime sector. Last year, the company acquired a 45% stake in Titan Clean Fuels, a leading Dutch LNG bunkering firm.
