Seatrium delivers LNG bunker vessel to Japan's MOL

Seatrium has delivered Brassavola, Singapore's inaugural membrane LNG bunker vessel, to Indah Singa Maritime, a unit of Japan's Mitsui O.S.K Lines (MOL), it said on January 29.
The ship is set to be chartered by Singapore's Pavilion Energy to supply LNG bunkers in the Port of Singapore. The vessel, anticipated to commence operations in February 2024, will also be deployed by TotalEnergies Marine Fuels under a long-term agreement with Pavilion Energy.
The vessel measures 116.5 meters in length and 22.0 meters in width, and incorporates technology for improved bunkering turnover and operational efficiency, Seatrium said.
Key features of Brassavola include a faster bunkering rate of up to 2,000 m3/hour, mass flow metering, and online gas chromatograph systems. The vessel utilises dual-fuel engines for cleaner and lower-carbon operation, coupled with reliquefaction technology to manage boil-off gas efficiently, reducing carbon emissions.
The vessel was named by Pavilion Energy and MOL in 2022.
