FueLNG, a joint venture between Seatrium Offshore & Marine and Shell, on March 25 announced the completion of its 150th ship-to-ship (STS) LNG bunkering operation.

On March 23, the FueLNG Bellina accomplished the bunkering operation by servicing the NYK Line pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) Freesia Leader in the Port of Singapore.

FueLNG Bellina, Singapore’s first LNG bunkering vessel, is equipped with a system that can deliver LNG at a rate of up to 1,000 m3/hour up to a capacity of 7,500 m3. It is used to provide LNG bunkering services to vessels at the Port of Singapore.

“It took us about 2.5 years to achieve the first 100 STS LNG bunkering operation. We have now completed another 50 operations in five months, underscoring the exponential growth and burgeoning demand for LNG bunkering in Singapore,” the company said.

FueLNG believes that LNG plays a pivotal role in achieving the industry's collective goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. “With pathways such as bio-LNG and e-LNG, we are not only reducing CO2 emissions today but also paving the way for a more sustainable maritime industry,” it said.
